Ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. quick-rise yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. crushed garlic
- 10 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 2 cups Farmers Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Instructions:
- Reserve 1/2 cup flour. In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour, un-dissolved yeast and salt.
- Heat water and 2 tbsp. butter until very warm. (120°F/50°C). Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir vigorously. Work in remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until dough is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Roll dough onto a lightly greased 15" x 10" x 3/4" jelly roll pan. Cover and let rise for another 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare bacon. Melt remaining 2 tbsp. butter and stir in crushed garlic. Spread evenly over dough. Top with Farmers Cheddar Cheese, shredded and sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Bake in preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or until done. Serve warm, cut into squares.
Note: For a faster method, use 2 ready-to-bake 10" pizza crusts rather than making a dough as above.
